last week, 5-6k points were enough to get you in the top 300-400 for rewards. Now, you can't get in the top 500 with less than approx 14k points. 

Someone (well, a lot of people) are doing some sort of wizardry to get that many points. I'm not sure how.

They changed the algo so engagement from more people are taken into account. This change didn't affect my rank even though I have much more points this week.
