Our house went through a remodeling this summer, and the contractor was basically Gaston from Beauty and the beast except not a jerk - a very strong and burly man, an image of masculinity.

As a parting gift he gave us a jar of canned wild boar meat. He hunted the boar and prepared the meat himself too 🫨

Finally I decided to put it to use and made a wine stew ala boeuf bourguignon. The meat turned out to be very tender and without any game taste whatsoever, very similar to beef actually.
