creator of @microsub, here it works by sending out tips (via casting from users' accounts) once per day for most folks, this looks like sending about 5-10 ~identical casts, as replies to a group of user's they've pre-selected, a couple of times per day (see screenshot)

i'm glad i did! i don't want the tool contributing to folks getting filtered as spam. i haven't heard any complaints about this happening though, fwiw i would expect it to be a problem if most of your casts are just repetitive spam-looking content, though (from microsub or otherwise)

if you're sending this people who *want* microsubs it won't be a problem. they will probably like or engage with you. but if you're sending it to dozens of people who don't want it (i.e. they dont engage in any way) it will increase your chances of being marked spammy. if you want to build tipping services, i'd recommend using a cast action which avoids the danger of being flagged as spammy.

absolutely safe as far as i know i wouldn’t nominate too many folks who don’t follow back, personally (i have a few and it’s not been a problem for me)
