Since @nomadicframe reminded me it was Shark Week, I thought I’d share a super rare shot of a shark swimming in the shore break… this 6’-8’ Galapagos shark actually washed up on the sand at one point, before kicking with its tail to get back into the water.

Mahalo, MM… it was a total shock to me. I have some fun video too, but man, I got caught between video and photo when the shark was half in and half out of a wave right in the shore break. That would have been an epic shot… the one that got away!
