Universal Music Group and Meta expand their partnership as labels lean on social media! Record labels need social media to do well. A study showed that half of people aged 18 to 24 use social media to find new music, so labels are making songs that work well on TikTok. Last month, Universal Music Group's stock dropped because their streaming revenue was lower than expected, partly due to a TikTok ban. Warner Music Group said it would lose $10 million every quarter because Meta took down its premium music videos. This shows how important social media is for music companies.
