Is there art on the moon? Brain rot! Now waaaay!! Yes way! There is! And now it’s time to bring art back to the moon surface. Over 50 years later! Here’s what happened in 1971: Before astronaut David Scott went to the Moon on the Apollo 15 mission, he met an artist named Paul Van Hoeydonck at a dinner party. They decided that Paul would make a small statue for David to leave on the Moon. This was to honor astronauts and cosmonauts who had died while working on space exploration. David made a list of 14 names from the U.S. and Soviet Union and put them on a plaque. David told Paul that the statue needed to be light but strong, able to handle the very hot and very cold temperatures on the Moon. It also shouldn’t look like it belonged to any specific gender or race. David said they agreed not to use Paul’s name publicly to prevent anyone from using the space mission for business gain. The MoonMars Museum is an ambitious project set to send artwork to the Moon in 2024, blending space exploration with human creativity. The initiative aims to establish a “museum” on the Moon by sending multiple pieces of art over several missions. These works include both physical and digital creations, curated from artists around the world. One of the highlights of this mission is the “Mare Crisium” collection, which will be placed on the Moon’s surface. Universal Music Group and Meta expand their partnership as labels lean on social media! Record labels need social media to do well. A study showed that half of people aged 18 to 24 use social media to find new music, so labels are making songs that work well on TikTok. Last month, Universal Music Group's stock dropped because their streaming revenue was lower than expected, partly due to a TikTok ban. Warner Music Group said it would lose $10 million every quarter because Meta took down its premium music videos. This shows how important social media is for music companies.

A 98 year old is bringing physical art to the surface of the moon! 53 years ago he did the exact same thing. Before his Apollo 15 lunar mission, astronaut David Scott met Belgian painter and printmaker Paul Van Hoeydonck at a dinner party. They agreed that Van Hoeydonck would create a small statuette for Scott to place on the Moon, though their recollections of the details differ. An so they did! Astronaut David Scott secretly placed the Fallen Astronaut statue on the Moon during the Apollo 15 mission, near the completion of his work on August 2, 1971 At the age of 98, Paul is still creating art daily, and now it’s happening again. Together with @moonmars he is one of 47 projects being brought to the moon with the Falcon9 rocket and SpaceX. Another one of the 47 projects are us, the MiDiPunkz! We’re bringing a piece of music called the “Hi Song” A song where people all around the world are saying “hi” in their own language!
