a big upside of building in public. people get pulled to your journey. you get to build your community while building your thing. downside? none. people might steal the idea? if you let them steal it and outdo you, it is theirs anyway.

First time founders do seem to be overly concerned about folks "stealing their idea." Second time founders focus on distribution, execution, and learning from customers. Ideas aren't the barrier (maybe outside of deep/hard tech), execution is.
