there’s a clear lack of conversation around the channels stuff on farcaster.
echo chambers are bad and we do a disservice to farcaster long term if we:

- always agree 100% with what @dwr.eth says and does / dont hold people accountable
- are afraid to speak out about things, specifically the larger accounts here

I think from a community standpoint it's important to avoid hacks and phishing by brands having their channels, but having dwr be the arbiter is dangerous and I have a feeling him being able to nerf any account/channel at any time for any reason is why people are afraid to speak up.

that’s the peril of the benevolent dictator model, but good luck getting default alive whilst also dealing with protocol governance

They can bury me deep, but I always grow back.

It’s def important to have one person leading the train in the early stages with Warpcast/Farcaster still are. But having a team make non-technical decisions while he focuses on technical issues would go a long way to trusting the network more.

I think if a community that people could make their claim to and could poll the community en masse would be a better look for Facaster. Much easier to tell squatters to take a hike.

so you would have had less of a problem with this decision if someone else as Merkle Manufactory would have made it?
