Haha nice to meet you, A. L. Crego. No shades at all about your GIF manifesto there, just having fun here as my personal vehicle of art. And Kika, I'm sorry I couldn't make more haha, irl work caught up to me sadly. Perhaps if A. L. Crego is willing, could make a more proper poster too for the event? Throwing ideas!

No prob mate, and nice to meet you too. Im just saying that promoting a gif ART event with memes works against the word ART if we really want to push this format as ART, about memes everybody already knows about it. I respect memes (and also do them) but not as art.🙏 (and actually I really like your other works, really). If I was asked for the poster I could do it of course, nobody asked me nothing... One idea, 2015. But it's ok with yours, 0 prob.🤜🤛

Thanks for the kind words! I suppose I have a similar feeling with pixel art medium used to something that I don't really agree with— but I could absolutely understand the appeal and accessibility of pixels (or in this case, GIF memes) for the mass as a vassal of learning to a better understanding down the line. I'm not the initiator of the event, I was just merely volunteering just because I have the time and the means to do so 🙂. Would love to see your version, for sure- your works are bonkers!

ei sorry for the late reply, i was out by then and just seeing this, sorry! and yes, I totally understand also the appeal and accessibitlity of pixels (at the very end every digital art is pixel art, just a matter of how big they are)🤣 in my case it is a consequence of working a lot on photo/video/gif and since some years ago twisting it to try to get something meaningful using the less possible (also that's the reason of the 'black and light'). Thanks for your comprehension, really!🤜🤛 About the poster, late now, maybe next one!🙏
