1/ Late night ramblings on “Why Nook”. @emo.eth and I have had a ton of ideas we’ve wanted to explore, many of which we’ve been talking about since our time at OpenSea. Most of these are social in nature and we needed some place to experiment and iterate quickly. aka /nook

2/ Nook has been built with modularity in mind. Almost every piece of the app is customizable, and this allows us to build new experiences on top of our platform quickly. Nook looks very much like Discord, but I like to think of nooks as apps. An app that you can build for your community without knowing how to code.

3/ If a nook is an app, then the shelves in a nook are like screens in an app. We started with Farcaster shelves because FC is our social layer. We needed to be at parity with Warpcast on major features. We’re actively working on bringing non-FC shelves that will hopefully help show the true power of Nook.

what are some of the non-FC shelves you're personally most excited to see in @nook?
