VS Code is great, but is kind of bloated, and wasn't really designed for the workflows that could make agent-driven development shine.

Yes, and it's awesome. The one big thing that I'm missing when using it exclusively is a companion view that I can read through the markup directly.

I'm sure a split terminal with Neovim could be an answer to that, but maybe not quite the UX I'm envisioning.

Definitely enticing and I'll try it out when ready. I like a lot about Zed. But I'd need to have parity with Cursor + Roo Code or it would be hard to switch.

zed.dev is beginning to roll out their agent mode this week i believe
