I wonder who the first team will be to break free from the VS Code dependency, and deliver a fresh take on what an Agent-forward IDE could be… 🤔 VS Code is great, but is kind of bloated, and wasn't really designed for the workflows that could make agent-driven development shine.

Yes, and it's awesome. The one big thing that I'm missing when using it exclusively is a companion view that I can read through the markup directly. I'm sure a split terminal with Neovim could be an answer to that, but maybe not quite the UX I'm envisioning.

this and aider.chat i imagine are closer to the ergonomics to expect otherwise nvim + avante or codecompanion are very fast/unbloated.
