Farcaster demonstrates hybrid applications can work, but TBD on whether "application-centrism" works 

I.e. no one gives a rat's arse about the infra underneath, you just use and enjoy the app. This one's tougher though as infra tribalism runs very deep, but can be broken by onboarding a non-crypto audience

I feel application-centrism is the way to go. 

The goal is to build useful apps. Let the infra be built and carefully curate the level of decentralisation and security your app needs to offer.
