A critical view of AI does not gatekeep or retard anyone from using or accessing the tool in any way, shape, or form. The only things that "gatekeep" AI art tools are: Phone bills, internet access, subscription fees, etc. If someone's subjective experience of AI is viewing AI 'art slop' as lazily generated art and something that isn't art. That's their feeling. Not everyone lives and breathes technological advancement. It used to take painters 10 years to master the craft before getting commissioned by the church to make grand wonders. Let me prompt this "Cute girl with mystical aura". Now let me take a quick selfie 🤳 "Omg girlypop ur art is so amazing nom nom nom nom nom" Anything that threatens the power of our (labor) is worthy of criticism. Horseshoe, Free Speech. I will answer any criticism always and forever and face it with an undeniable callus and a spirit that's indomitable! Excelsior!

I'm pretty indifferent but thought I'd share my opinion as someone who just recently joined 2 months ago as my X account was suspended. 🍎 Warpcaster was dull for me at first, friends gifted me like 30 Degen and I had no idea what it was or what the worth was. I'm still not a fan of a token called 'Degen' purely from a contrarian's standpoint. Onchain summer was what got me posting often, and the rounds are what hooked me even more. I wasn't getting recognition at first which was annoying, then I started to notice the overwhelming bot problem. Worldcoin/EventBrite/TalentProtocol all solve this. But for some reason people are either manually moderating (centralized). Or using it for promotion (marketing) and the wringing of the towel type of content and it's making me less and less excited. However, I will just try to focus on what I can do and write about the things that have meaning. Highlighting as many as the good people as I can with my UI/UX Skillset.

In case anyone here needs help understanding the concept of /build and how to nominate a friend (anyone that's not a bot or sybil). I made an article briefly going over the token. What it stands for, and means to hold it, as well as how to be eligible. Build uses a human verifiable protocol to ensure only humans are earning rewards. It is one of the best initiatives I've seen so far since joining warpcaster, and the talent protocol is very much needed in today's job market. I'll be editing the metadata of this article a bit as I catch up on the latest interview with the creator (Who is also the creator of talent protocol). Everything is in the official docs at build.top but I hope an article can be easier to digest for some of those who lack the free time to read, enjoy! Nothing is “gatekeeping” AI from anyone besides time and money. If a non-technical background person perceives AI to be simply pressing buttons, stolen art, or doesn’t align with it… that’s how they view it. Bullying, and shunning criticism is exactly what weak minded and weak willed individuals do. 👍

What is worse, the man who understands AI for what he perceives it to be, and speaks his mind. Or the group of non-artists that shun art criticism, while haphazardly wielding the shiny new tool? With no art critics, ‘art slop’ will cycle through a declined eye to be, consumed, and shit out. 👍

After burnt_out this week I had to ask myself a serious question, what will make me truly happy? ⛪️🍜🍥 Is it absolving myself into a shroud of mystery and gaining recognition for all of the hours I spent, is it a monetary reward, or a “token” of appreciation? Maybe re_finding and preserving love? I want to make a positive impact in people’s lives. We all yearn for connection, a selfish philanthropic ideology that fulfills oneself. Or is it just the devil’s advocate speaking? The main feeling that plagues me is the lack of achievement. A race against the sybil system to secure rewards in a structure that is both kind, and cruel. Money tree, money tree, flowing so abundantly. 🌳💵 🌳 💵 🌳
