I'm not going to go with one vs the other, but say that both are needed.
As for doxxed founders offering protection? Well.. SBF is serving 25
1) Projects *should* be structured in a way that limits malfeasance. Using multi-sig and/or locking up assets in clear structured ways that serve the project's goals/direction/stated structure. Ofc you'll need certain assets/funds that are accessible and easy to deploy for certain fees/expenses, but that's baked into the structure.
2) Just b/c people can make AI Deep fakes & clone voices doesn't mean that a doxxed founder is without value. Sure, in a single or isolated # of contact points, this can be faked, but over the longer term growth of a project, it adds credibility if the person weaves in IRL events, public speaking, etc that matches up with that which has been shared online. Trust isn't something that happens instantly, it's built over time, & a trusted long term founder who shows up, vs an anon/non-doxxed PFP does/will come across differently over time. 0 reply
