In good faith, I want to ask all the non-Trump voters, what are you most afraid of with a Trump presidency? Maybe I can help alleviate your fears in the comments. Again, in good faith.

I do hear this one a lot. I believe the MSM labels it “threat to democracy” - is your biggest fear that he won’t leave office in 2028?

USA moving toward authoritarianism. That’s my greatest fear with Trump

So the people, including myself, who voted for him, hold the Constitution dearly. Many of us saw the overreach during covid as alarming and want a reset. We would never want someone to upend what we hold dear. If he strays, he’s going against our mandate. We did not elect him because he’s a demagogue. We elected him because we want less government overreach.

the U.S. Constitution addresses providing “aid and comfort” to insurrectionists in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. This section was added after the Civil War to prevent individuals who had engaged in rebellion against the United States from holding office. Specifically, it states that any person who has taken an oath to support the Constitution and then engages in “insurrection or rebellion” or gives “aid or comfort” to such individuals is disqualified from holding federal or state office. This. I don’t think anyone can say in good faith that they hold the Constitution dearly and still vote him for him after J6. The question is really about trade offs, and what you’re willing to overlook for perceived gains.

Yes, I also hear this one: he should have been disqualified from running in your mind, correct?

I don't have a stance on whether or not he should have been able to run or not because I'm not qualified to speak to that. What I can speak to is his attempt to subvert our democracy by falsely claiming the 2020 election was rigged, asking the Georgia Secretary of State for 11,700 votes, and his fake electors scheme to overturn the election results which was an attempt to undermine the will of the people.

Got ya. So knowing that, what looking ahead do you most fear as you hold that information?

How do you reconcile what I said above with your statement regarding deeply valuing the Constitution?

I want government reform by an outsider. I have zero trust in our government establishment. He speaks to the policy issues I want to address. And the constitution is not going anywhere.

Fair, and that's the decision that all us Americans made. What are the the things we're willing to overlook for perceived gains. At the end of the day, the people have spoken, and they're willing to make those concessions and have expectations about what they'll receive for making them. I hope he delivers.

You totally get it. I really hope he benefits all of us, not just me and my party. I really believe that.
