I think Bitcoin might go up for a while due to hype, but in the end, it can't easily and quickly replace the dollar.

Algorithmic stablecoins once promised finances free from state control (unstable $BTC is not enough). The LUNA/UST economy was global, but it began to unravel when Anchor Protocol reduced the 20% savings rate on UST to make the project sustainable. The experiment ultimately failed.

Major stablecoins are now mostly backed by USDC, collateralized by US dollars and US treasury holdings in American financial institutions (sic!). Even $DAI and $FRAX have chosen "stability". Afaik, the last decentralized stable standing is $LUSD, with a funny MC of $60 mln.

Crypto has once again become a parody of financial freedom. Let's at least remember the dream, rather than repeating the state institutions and mainstream media's "fraud" and "crime" accusations against the fallen inventor. If you think that, in times of trouble, they'll one day act and write more objectively about @vitalik.eth or Satoshi, you're naive.
