Anyone have any tips on how to know when to pull carrots? I’ve never had any luck with carrots but looks like I might get a few good ones this year.

I might have to just do that, if its too small I guess it can be a nice treat for one of the dogs.

I think I've heard that the best way is simply to do a "test pull": pull one to see how the rest are going.

Wait till you see the tops of the carrot part!

Carrots are super forgiving and it's hard to leave them in the ground too long unless they start bolting flower stalks.

You can wipe some soil away and take a peak. If it looks fully grown, pull one and find out.

They have a long harvest window so no pressure to nail the perfect timing. You can pick a few as needed and leave the rest.
