Abgoosht is a traditional and popular Iranian dish made from a combination of meat (usually lamb), chickpeas, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, and various spices. It is prepared by boiling the ingredients together, and is typically served with Sangak bread. When served, the broth is consumed as a soup, and the solid ingredients (meat and legumes) are mashed separately and eaten, known as "Goosht Koobideh."
