Albert Camus (1913–1960) was a French-Algerian writer and philosopher known for his philosophy of Absurdism. In works such as The Stranger and The Myth of Sisyphus, he explored the meaninglessness of the world and how humans should confront it. Camus believed that by accepting absurdity, people could create their own meaning in life. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957 and left a significant impact on modern thought.
