Initially … it was purely for economical reasons. Having cofounded a digital magazine publishing house in the late 90’s in the early ages of Internet. To optimize the growth of our startup, I had to learn photography on the go to produce our visual content. Then, I slowly found an equilibrium between different personal interests as anthropology, history, architecture, sociology etc… with the urgent need to testify about diversity around the world, showing different cultural paradigms and our common Humanity, specially in secluded communities.

No … trial and error, risk taking, instinct and perseverance, same way as we launched digital magazines most of them were still physical What difference did it make ? Probably longer learning curve but more genuine experiences …

For documentary photography long form works, no specific artistic style. I value having a strict deontology code and be as close as possible to reality (production and post-production). For other types of photography, very eclectic, exploring different techniques to communicate with different vocabularies …
