Thanks for the pov! was looking into create react app and wanted reverse engineer what worked for other js languages.

parcel's 0 config setup is what you should use until it suddenly doesn't support some obscure thing you want and then you can spend the day and a half it takes to make webpack work but also that's a sign that maybe you don't actually need that obscure thing
