I think the right framework here is from Kahneman in Thinking, Fast and Slow The vision comes from System 1. We listen to our intuition, which is powered by deep curiosity and time spent on a topic. We hone the vision with System 2. This includes analytics and customer feedback. S2 informs S1 as much as S1 drives S2
