You can be sure that Jacek thinks about DEGEN more than anyone else. Because the team are trying both to move DEGEN forward and to develop a system that will satisfy us. It is impossible to please everyone. But the best options should be chosen to move the project forward. This may sometimes make us unhappy, but it can lead to better results. It would be more accurate to make your criticisms by keeping yourself from thinking only about yourself.

You have to think about a whole community…! Shifting from popularity to wealth can’t be a good move. It may be an oversight but onboarding is already hard but if you add a financial burden to it it will make it even harder. Another concern is will the staking take place on base or Degen chain?

Both are wrong but choosing wealth is more logical than popularity. And staking option will be for both i guess but we'll see. degenchain has a little bit more possibility.

In this particular case wealth is more likely to damage the token. To onboard people, you need to ease the barriers. Asking a newbie to lock up $1,000 in a protocol they've never heard of will be more challenging. The Degen Chain has had its fair share of issues its still early and experimental! This move is more likely to push people out of the ecosystem, and find a new token, and leave Purple altogether. If they can’t participate in the most exciting features, what’s the value? We need more participant if we are to see Degen succeed. A fairer/ wider holder distribution, and with this method It will be harder.
