Is this because these brands are luxury and so their customers are used to paying big $$ though? So it doesn’t show adoption or new behavior, but rather that with new products, the same brands can still command top dollar?

Each brands circumstance is different. If you look at Nike, CloneX generated new found revenue for the brand from non physical products (essentially JPEGs) D&G has completed 4 collections, all with very different consumer bases (couture vs street wear, etc.) This shows new product channels for brands.
