1/ We’re solving for consumer security and identity. I was sharing web3 products with similar use cases and was tasked with putting a deck together by the team. Manager made assumptions without context, made a doc with screenshots of me talking about web3 and inaccurate claims

2/ I pushed back in the doc with each accusation he made. He’s my 3rd manager in less than 2 years. It’s just bureaucratic bs + politics, and an attempt to stop my promotion, which was promised by his manager, our CDO.

3/ CDO admitted I was misleveled from when I joined months ago, but too much context has been lost because of our massive attrition rate. He gave me a raise to make sure that I felt more valued and to ensure I stayed through the next promotion cycle (Nov). But, who knows 🤷♀️

4/ When people start putting shit in writing in a well organized Confluence doc with bs assumptions and zero context, rather than delivering feedback directly…it should be met with skepticism. He’s a very vanilla, play by the books-type manager. Advocate for yourselves, friends!
