Being an entrepreneur is hard

You're given two opposing directives:
1) Manifest your vision, even when nobody else believes in you
2) Listen to the market and adapt to what it tells you

When do you choose option 1 over 2? 

Nobody can tell you deterministically -- it's an art. Respect to anyone who takes this path

I think this is a false dichotomy.

The people that believe or don’t believe in you in 1) don’t matter at all. That’s just mental fortitude to keep shipping.

The only thing that matters is 2) can you find people your vision resonates with and who want to buy from you?

Also, vision is a very abstract thing that can be manifested in a variety of ways. Understanding the market ie. the people you serve provides the bridge between idea and tangible reality
