The authors of 9to5mac took an iPhone 15 Pro Max and ran the Core ML Neural Engine performance test in Geekbench on it. On iOS 17.5.1, the results come out around 6,000 points. Then the first developer beta of iOS 18 was installed on the same iPhone. The final result was impressive - 7,818 points! Simply put, the performance of the cores for neurocomputing has increased by 25%! All this leads to the fact that the performance of different architectures increases. Somewhere more and somewhere less, but it increases. For example, MobibleNet v3 has only a 2% increase, while the MobileVit v2 SSD has a 700% increase!
