Epic Games has complained to the European Commission about Apple

Epic Games press service wrote that Apple has rejected the application to launch Epic Games Store on iOS for the second time. The Cupertinians believe that the "Download" and "Install" buttons in EGS are too similar to those of the App Store. In addition, Apple doesn't like that the labelling about in-app purchases of epics is "too similar" to their own.

Epic Games parry by saying that all the design decisions, right down to the name, are made to make it easy and convenient for users. Apple's stubbornness does not please Epic Games, so they complained to the European Commission, allegedly the Cupertinos violate the DMA (Digital Markets Act).

It is quite possible that Apple for this can fly another fine. Recall, the European regulator has already revealed the fact of violation of the DMA on the part of the Cupertinovs. If the company does not change anything in its policy until March 2025, it will be fined $35 billion 🌡️
