Phones may get a ‘guest’ mode Apple has patented a guest mode for iOS. It will allow you to give an iPhone to a friend or a child without fear that the latter will spoil or delete something important. According to the patent, iPhone owners will be able not only to configure which applications and functions will be available to the guest, but also to make individual documents and photos available to all users. The patent suggests changing guest access settings on the fly, including by logging in on another device, such as a second iPhone or iPad.
