Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post 🙏 and for some solid advice. I was trying not to use black and finding different ways to add shadows. I have no concept of lighting 😅. I should definitely do more study. I always tend to just go for it.

At this level you can start for the contrast colors, specially the darker ones so the painting can have its shadows and better construction of its lightning. After put the darker and contrast colours, build on details.
