i got you. which island? sounds like oahu if you're looking at aulani? if you're looking for tropical i'd suggest a different island tbh. 

if you're set on oahu, turtle bay on the north shore was recently remodeled. otherwise your options are crowding in waikiki or the marriott ko'olina which is next to aulani. locals love marriott and tend to staycay out there a lot in the 2-bedroom condos.
