What can the /guns channel offer the larger gun community that other social networks can't?

Interesting question. In my mind, it’s a niche channel within a niche community, and I like that. The only clear answer at the moment is more around what it brings to this community (rather than serving the audience that is in other social networks.) I hope that the people on here who are more metropolitan and/or European might see that gun culture is one that can be healthy and takes the responsibility very seriously i.e. to help people see that the interest is not just a dangerous, problematic, or scary quirk of the US. Instead that normal, nice people see the hobby as a means to get outside, build community, and master a skill. That’s just my take.
