Elon/NASA's plans for sustained human presence in space are doomed

In all of human history, settlements only became sustainable and grew with strong economic development

We are on the precipice of building a strong economy in Low Earth Orbit

And yet at this exact moment, NASA is completely draining all of its LEO projects to fund Artemis

Versus, with intense focus and development, we could have 100+ humans in LEO, focused on manufacturing, refueling + servicing of satellites

Which paves the way for the Moon + Mars.

Does seem like, sustainable presence in space should be tackled first where support is close by

I think it's sexy to settle another planet but take your point that there is enough economic opportunity nearby to be worth tackling first
