An incredible thing I noticed in Syria is that so much of the urban infrastructure is utterly destroyed yet people continue to live in the literal ruins. Yet even with no water, electricity, telecommunications, or other services people have tremendous dignity. It’s safe, they’re welcoming, everyone’s clothes are immaculately clean, and their kids go to school every day no matter what.

That is wild and hopeful. I'm surprised Israel is letting Palestinians back into northern Gaza. You took some great photos over there.
