This was sometimes an emotional and heartbreaking read about the voices and experiences of people who lived through the collapse of the Soviet Union and transition to modern Russia. It helped me to try to understand why Putin is the way he is. Recommend to read

My takeaway from this book is that there are good people (and bad) in every nation, community, tribe or group. There is no us and them.
My hope is that social media like Farcaster allows us to interact with each other with tolerance.
