I completed this book today. While I thought it was stellar in many parts and had some good tips I also felt that there were things that the author missed, particularly in light of newly emergent tools to help one with language learning. I would like to find a book publisher to publish a book on my own method and am looking for an agent to assist with that.

What are the high points of your method? I've found AI chatbots to be very useful lately.

Agreed on how it could be expanded with emerging tools. The revised edition came out 10 years ago so even using Anki would’ve seemed pretty tech-forward back then for the average person. They had a massive opportunity with their app, but imo fumbled it with janky functionality. Especially considering what’s now possible with AI, there’s so much space to explore. Something I’ve been imagining is a distinct role of ‘language learning mentor’. Someone who oversees and guides someone (or a group of people) on their language learning journey(s). Don’t even need to speak the language they’re learning, but support and guide them in their pursuit. I think all teacher roles will converge to this, and language learning will be a distinct instance of this role. Maybe AI eats everything eventually, but I don’t know if we’ll ever desire to remove the human tutor from the classroom completely.
