I’m skeptical Iran and Russia have much of an alliance rather than short term tactical cooperation. Russia and Iran are historic enemies and even today have serious territorial disputes.

Gotta justify a potential war with Iran as much as we can 😉 Russia is hated a lot in the USA, so we can piggyback on it before a potential war.

I am skeptical as well. I don't think Russia or Iran have true alliances, only temporary cooperation based on mutual enemies.
