It hurts me to do it, but I’m gonna have to nerf those built up trust points from founders who keep trying to convince us to buy into something on its great merit when there is no merit, only copypasta.
Founders, if your build is copy pasta, show us a new use case for it, and no need to PRETEND you innovated something new—it’s unnecessarily insulting. 😩
Every time I see these casts urging me to buy, telling me how “early/cool/necessary/useful” the new thing is, it feels like a punch in my stomach. It feels like a Showman trying to sell me magic beans, but they seem to forget they already sold me magic beans I already planted. I already have a beanstalk but now they want me to buy MORE magic magic beans, and grow another beanstalk? Why? I can already get to the giant’s lair. There’s nothing up there been developed. I climbed up the beanstalk and there are still nothing but clouds. And here you are, you wanna sell me another handful of beans to grow another beanstalk? Make it make sense. 0 reply
