Genuine question: What is the average Joe using LLMs for today? Haven’t found it to be very useful outside of coding but i must be missing something if cutting edge AI models keep topping the App Store charts

my dad uses chatgpt now, which is mind blowing as it's the first new tech he's adopted in ~10 years. guy still checks yahoo news daily lmao. he uses it for dad things: home improvement, aviation questions (private pilot), stock market research, etc.
