When @mercedesbenznxt first hit the NFT scene, I wrote a short piece in Overpriced JPEGs about how nuanced their approach was, driven largely by the depth of their bench. Srsly, their team is solid. Today they here, on Farcaster, with a gen art mint on Base available in Frame + on Highlight. This team just gets it.

Other drops we have done have been larger in scope, but this one was a lot of fun to bring to life. Always believed that brands that enter crypto need to use its tools and I’m proud of how early we were to FC. And I believe in going where energy & culture are. Base & FC have been killing it in that department.

Minting a token on one website and then seeing that NFT show up in my Opensea profile ready for sale with a simple signature. No cooperation or APIs needed between issuer and marketplace. No way for the issuer to stop me from trading. Infinite potential marketplaces. That’s true digital ownership.

Composability in all of its form. Technical (money) legos. Never is the internet more powerful than when people can build on top of each others work. The closing of twitter‘s API was the digital burning of the library of Alexandria. Crypto / Farcaster fixes this.
