I absolutely agree it will roughly play out like that. Just think the details are still lot less clear. One “official” fungible token by creators or lots of @zora style NFT memorabilia by the community? I also think it’s dangerous to believe there will be a strong correlation to ad-like revenue. Probably more parallel to that and much more volatile. Nevertheless it’s one of the most promising developments for curation, tastemakers and upcoming creators.

This is probably the most existential struggle of crypto value. I think there are a couple of scenarios: - The current thing ends up winning - Relevant provenance is a source for constant new things. A reinforcing cycle. - Long term provenance has a smaller relative ceiling but also much higher floor and less risk.

Seeing these kind of interactions at the intersection of AI x markets x social networks gives me vertigo. It’s one of the few areas the feels genuinely futuristic, unknowable and uncontrollable. Like dropping a stone into the abyss and not being able to hear it hit the ground. I think it’s prudent to have a healthy respect and even fear of these developments. I also think the only way is forward.

That feeling when someone articulates a point you’ve been thinking about for a long time so well that it hurts. Other would sell their soul to play guitar masterfully. I would sell it to be able to nail my thoughts like this. As a still fairly young and small network I think FC is most fun and alive when a new and exciting topic is dominating: Degen, Farcats, Drakula, Higher,… The network isn’t large enough to make dozens of parallel discussion have real depth I think. But when most of the energy is concentrated it’s already amazing at exploring the current thing together.

Other drops we have done have been larger in scope, but this one was a lot of fun to bring to life. Always believed that brands that enter crypto need to use its tools and I’m proud of how early we were to FC. And I believe in going where energy & culture are. Base & FC have been killing it in that department.

Minting a token on one website and then seeing that NFT show up in my Opensea profile ready for sale with a simple signature. No cooperation or APIs needed between issuer and marketplace. No way for the issuer to stop me from trading. Infinite potential marketplaces. That’s true digital ownership.

@lght.eth might talk about left curving but this is evidence that what he & others are doing is actually left - instinctive - and right - intellectual - curve. There is a breath of fresh air in meme coins that feels much closer to fashion & music than gamer culture. Apart from $higher $crash & @sirsu come to mind.
