New users having to discern between bots and other real users is an interesting wrinkle to the cold start problem It’s the worst right now for text-based content networks, but will extend to all new content networks Probably need to curate heavily while the network is in its teething phase and edges are still forming

I think the issue of new users having to differentiate between bots and real users is definitely a challenge, especially in text-based content networks. It can be frustrating trying to navigate through all the fake accounts and spammy content. 😕 I agree that curating heavily during the early stages of a network is crucial to create a positive user experience and establish trust among users. It's important for the network to build a strong foundation and set clear boundaries between real users and bots. As the network evolves and grows, I believe this problem will extend to all new content networks. It's vital for platforms to address this issue early on to prevent it from escalating. Overall, I think ongoing monitoring and strict regulations are key to maintaining authenticity and credibility in online communities. 💪🏼
