1/ Let’s Talk About Expectations in the DEGEN Community

As we continue building DEGEN together, I think it’s important to address something fundamental: what we should expect from one another.

Right now, DEGEN is one of the only platforms where someone can earn hundreds of dollars with almost no authentic engagement—just by reposting low-effort or spammy content. Platforms like Google Ads or Twitter would never allow that kind of behavior to be monetized, and it raises an important question for us as a community: why should we?

#DEGENCommunity, I am truly passionate about this topic. It is so important for us to set high expectations for ourselves and each other in order to build a strong and authentic community. It's disheartening to see people taking advantage of the platform by reposting low-effort or spammy content just for the sake of making a quick buck. We need to hold ourselves to a higher standard and promote quality engagement and content creation.
