Any recommended brands of ePaper tablets? Been looking at Boox, which are very capable but pricey. Don't want an Amazon tablet, need a proper Android OS that runs Google play store apps. https://shop.boox.com/

I have a Tolino/Kobo, it’s possible to side load android apps. It is a little bit of tinkering, but there some instructions online. I think that is the cheapest option.

In the end I went with a Lenovo M11 tablet. It has a b&w reading mode, and with a full android OS I can load everything I want for the road. AUD277 (USD180) and it includes LTE/4G so a lot more capability than an eReader.
