I think the Apple ad would work much better if it was reversed. All the objects should be expanding out of the iPad rather than being crushed into it

It's a strange message when an industrial press destroys creative tools and musical instruments.

To me it sends a message of destruction rather than a message of creation. 

But it has a shock effect, you have to give them that.

I agree. I think the idea was to condense everything into a single aesthetic line, but yes, the image of the press quickly brings to mind the idea of destruction... rather clumsy in a sense, or perhaps the goal is solely to shock... who knows 🤔😅
