Tbh I wish I practiced it more, but I find the trick of β€œimagining yourself on a deathbedβ€œ and picturing what type of life you lived to be best for culminating a true sense of gratitude for the moment and people around you.

For me what works is looking at the meta picture. Whenever I want to calm my mind, I remind myself of my place on this earth (read evolution); or in universe.

Personally framing my work in governance facilitation as an act of devotion in service of our collective participation with the logos through the development of more excellent coordination mechanisms and practices. Loving the people I work with, the things I work on, and the things that work on me.

There is so much to be grateful for instead of taking things for granted. Just waking up is something not everyone is blessed with. I try to look at the world this way. I also take a cold shower and meditate in the morning to help me with the right mood.

One of the primarily aspects of my lifestyle that intersects with stoicism is the practice of cultivating silence in the soul. I find benefit in focused prayer, solo art sessions, and constant reevaluation of my current distractions and temptations, whether it’s social media, excessive studying, or even speaking.
