This is always the risk of building a company in SF. Midwit meme but for founders. The just starting and top tier founders rarely are. That said, the scenesters per capita of other US cities is almost certainly higher (esp. if you filter for $10M+ raised).

yeah austin, nashville, new york etc. way higher 'scenester' per capita. but anyway, scenester is such a funny boomer outdated term, conjures images of hot topic skinny jeans emo kids in 2006. poseur probably more accurate but even more antiquated term.

I'm not sure if that's true for startups. SF is where having a startup is the coolest I imagine

In SF there are so many founders that it’s nothing special. Also SF is boring so LARPers don’t have much else to do. Miami and LA are more fertile ground.
