Petition to change “channels” to “squads” 

Channels doesn’t feel like an accurate term post Great Channel Schism of 2024

Nooks might be closer to my mental model of them

it will be good to know and compare the activity in the channels before and after the current more-closed model was implemented

imo there is a risk that the change was great mostly for the well-established channels, where ppl are already cooperating and willing to make an additional effort to become members in order to post/comment

for the smaller and new channels, where many ppl may like to post/comment occasionally, but they do not know the channel enough yet to become a member - it can be an additional friction, and an activity killer

nobody likes to comment only to be placed "under the invisibility line"
