One of the hardest parts about being a music artist to me is the time it takes to go from writing a song the releasing it. About a year for me right now. For instance, this is the next song I am putting out, “Vains”. I like it but I have written at least 10 songs I like more since then, and by the time I release those, I will have written more again. Have to remember this is actually a good thing because it means I am growing, but it is a struggle to release things that I don’t feel are my absolute best. It’s the only way though.

> but it is a struggle to release things that I don’t feel are my absolute best I hear this from artists all the time, and I think it applies to all creators. I always say it’s better to share your progress than get stuck chasing perfection. People love seeing the journey and actually witnessing your growth

True, but because it takes a while to make my record, it feels more like showing people where I was than where I am

I see what you mean. But that’s kind of the beauty of it too. Your older work shows how far you’ve come, and for listeners, it’s still fresh. What feels old to you might be exactly what someone needs to hear right now
